Breaking the Single-Engine Jet Barrier

The SF-50 Vision Jet emerged from an ambitious goal set by Cirrus Aircraft founders Alan and Dale Klapmeier to create an affordable "personal jet" that would democratize jet ownership. Initially, the SF-50 found its strongest market in the United States, with 85% of deliveries going to U.S. customers as of October 2019. However, international acceptance grew steadily, with the U.S. share adjusting to 75% by 2020 as European sales expanded to capture 15% of the market. This global expansion reflected the aircraft's appeal beyond its original target market.
