Afriqiyah Airways was a Libyan full-service airline founded in 2007 and headquartered in Tripoli, operating scheduled passenger services throughout North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe from its main hub at Tripoli International Airport. As Libya's second-largest airline after Libyan Arab Airlines, Afriqiyah offered economy and business class seating on a network that connected major cities across the region with a focus on leisure and business travelers. The airline was a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization and maintained partnerships with several international carriers, while its frequent flyer program was called "Miles & More" (later rebranded). Afriqiyah Airways ceased operations in 2014 due to the deteriorating security situation and civil conflict in Libya, marking the end of the country's privately-owned international carrier.
