The ZLIN Z-43 was a four-seat touring and training aircraft that represented Moravan's transition from aerobatic to practical civilian aviation. First flown on December 10, 1968, it was a low-wing monoplane powered by a single Walter M-337A engine producing 207 horsepower, accommodating one pilot and three passengers. With a maximum speed of 235 kilometers per hour and wingspan of 9.76 meters, approximately 80 aircraft were manufactured by Moravan Otrokovice in Czechoslovakia between 1972 and 1977.
