US AirwaysAWE/ US

US Airways was a major American carrier that operated as a full-service airline from its origins in the 1930s as an East Coast regional carrier through its expansion into a nationwide network. Headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, the airline served as a member of the Star Alliance and operated both domestic and international routes with hubs in Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Phoenix, offering economy, business, and first-class cabins along with the Dividend Miles frequent flyer program. The airline was known for its focus on the U.S. East Coast and Caribbean markets, as well as transatlantic service to Europe. US Airways ceased independent operations in 2015 following its merger with American Airlines, which was completed in late 2013, creating the world's largest airline at the time of the combination.
