Air Baffin was a Canadian regional airline based in Iqaluit, Nunavut, that operated scheduled and charter passenger services throughout the Canadian Arctic and northern regions from its founding in 1987 until it ceased operations in 2018. The airline specialized in serving remote communities in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories, where it operated as an essential link for residents with limited ground transportation options. Air Baffin offered point-to-point service between Arctic communities and southern Canadian cities, with Iqaluit serving as its main hub, and provided both scheduled regional flights and on-demand charter services. The carrier operated a modest fleet suitable for Arctic operations, including turboprops designed for short-field landings at remote airstrips. Following financial difficulties and operational challenges, Air Baffin's services were eventually absorbed by other regional carriers, ending decades of service to Canada's isolated northern communities.
