The Hiller UH-12B was a pioneering light utility helicopter that established the foundation for mass-produced rotorcraft training in the United States military during the 1950s. First flown as the Model 360 prototype on November 11, 1947, it was a single-engine, two-seat helicopter with skid landing gear. Powered by a 200-horsepower Franklin 6V4-200-C33 piston engine, the UH-12B could accommodate a pilot and one passenger or equivalent cargo load. The aircraft was manufactured by Hiller Aircraft Corporation under the leadership of aviation prodigy Stanley Hiller Jr.
