Blue1 was a Finnish airline founded in 1988 and headquartered in Helsinki, operating as a regional carrier serving Scandinavia and Northern Europe. The airline primarily focused on passenger operations, with a strong presence at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport as its main hub, connecting smaller Nordic cities to major hubs across the region. Blue1 was a member of the SkyTeam alliance and offered economy and business class seating on its routes. The airline operated under the ownership of SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) from 2007 onwards, which gradually integrated Blue1's operations into its regional network. Blue1 ceased operations in 2011 when SAS consolidated its regional services, marking the end of the airline's independent operations after more than two decades of service in the Nordic market.
