The Cessna 340 was a pressurized twin-engine business aircraft that provided high-altitude capability at a lower cost than larger corporate twins. First delivered in 1971, it was a low-wing monoplane powered by two turbocharged Continental engines that could seat up to six occupants. With a maximum takeoff weight of 5,990 pounds in its final configuration, the aircraft offered pressurized comfort for business travel. Manufactured by Cessna Aircraft Company from 1972 to 1984, 1,287 examples were built before production ended.
