The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner revolutionized commercial aviation as the world's first composite-majority widebody airliner, delivering 20 percent better fuel efficiency than its predecessors. First flown on September 17, 2013, it is a twin-engine widebody capable of carrying 290 to 330 passengers in typical three-class configuration.
