The Extra NG represents a revolutionary breakthrough in aerobatic aviation as the world's first unlimited aerobatic aircraft built with an all-carbon-fiber frame structure. First unveiled at Oshkosh in July 2019, it is a low-wing single-engine monoplane that seats two occupants and delivers ±10G aerobatic capability. Powered by a 315-horsepower Lycoming AEIO-580-B1A engine, the NG achieves a maximum cruise speed of 202 knots while maintaining the proven aerobatic performance that has dominated world championships. The aircraft is manufactured by Extra Aircraft of Germany, the company founded by aerobatic legend Walter Extra in 1980.
