Cyprus Airways was the flag carrier of Cyprus, founded in 1987 and headquartered in Nicosia, operating as a full-service airline that provided scheduled passenger services throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The airline served as a major carrier for travel to and from Cyprus, with its main hub at Larnaca International Airport, and operated point-to-point routes connecting the island to key European capitals and regional destinations. Cyprus Airways was a member of the oneworld alliance and offered economy and business class seating on its international routes. The airline ceased operations in November 2015 due to financial difficulties exacerbated by the Cypriot financial crisis, with its assets and routes subsequently acquired by other carriers operating in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
