Far Eastern Air Transport was a Taiwanese airline headquartered in Taipei that operated from 1957 until its closure in 2008. The carrier provided both passenger and cargo services, with a primary focus on domestic routes within Taiwan as well as regional flights to destinations throughout Asia. Far Eastern Air Transport was one of Taiwan's major domestic carriers and operated a mixed-class cabin configuration on its services. The airline was eventually absorbed into Taiwan's aviation consolidation efforts, ceasing independent operations as part of industry restructuring in the 2000s. Its closure marked the end of one of Taiwan's longest-established independent carriers.
