Japan Air System (JAS / JD) — 36 Aircraft Fleet

Japan Air System (JAS) was a Japanese airline that operated from 1987 to 2002, serving as a major domestic carrier in Japan alongside its parent company Japan Airlines. Headquartered in Tokyo, JAS primarily focused on passenger operations on regional and domestic routes throughout Japan, with hub operations at Fukuoka Airport and secondary hubs at Osaka International Airport and Nagoya Airport. The airline was established as JAL's subsidiary to operate lower-cost services and compete in the Japanese domestic market, offering economy and business class cabins on its regional network. JAS maintained Japan Airlines' frequent flyer program for its passengers and operated a significant portion of JAL's domestic capacity before the two carriers merged in 2002, with JAS operations fully integrated into Japan Airlines.
