
The Learjet 55 was a pioneering mid-size business jet that introduced NASA-developed winglets and expanded cabin capacity to the corporate aviation market. With a maximum speed of 541 mph and service ceiling of 49,000 feet, the aircraft was manufactured by Gates Learjet in Wichita, Kansas.
