LATAM Ecuador was founded in 1995 as an Ecuadorian airline and operated as a regional carrier serving routes within Ecuador and to neighboring South American countries. The airline was headquartered in Quito and primarily focused on passenger operations connecting Ecuador's major cities and regional destinations. LATAM Ecuador eventually became part of the LATAM Airlines Group, one of South America's largest airline conglomerates, which operates across multiple countries in the region. The airline offered economy and business class service on its regional routes and maintained a frequent flyer program through the LATAM ecosystem. LATAM Ecuador ceased operations in 2012 as LATAM consolidated its Ecuadorian presence under other group carriers.
