Air Nigeria was a full-service airline headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, that operated from 2004 until its dissolution in 2012. The carrier served as one of Nigeria's major airlines, operating scheduled passenger flights throughout West Africa and to international destinations, with Lagos (Murtala Muhammed International Airport) serving as its primary hub. Air Nigeria was a member of the Star Alliance, providing connectivity to the global alliance network and offering economy and business class seating on its international routes. The airline operated a mix of regional and wide-body aircraft to serve its network, which included key routes to Europe, the Middle East, and across the African continent. Air Nigeria's operations were characterized by the challenges facing the Nigerian aviation sector, and the airline eventually ceased operations in 2012 due to financial difficulties and operational constraints.
