1Time Airline was a South African low-cost carrier that operated from 2004 until its collapse in 2010. Headquartered in Johannesburg, the airline focused on point-to-point routes across southern Africa, with its main hub at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. 1Time offered no-frills economy seating and competed aggressively in the budget segment, challenging established carriers on domestic and regional routes to destinations such as Cape Town, Durban, and other African cities. The airline operated as an independent carrier without alliance membership and maintained a relatively modern fleet focused on efficiency and cost control. 1Time's rapid expansion and aggressive pricing strategy made it a disruptive force in African aviation during the mid-2000s, but the carrier ultimately succumbed to financial pressures and operational challenges, ceasing all operations in August 2010.
