TAME (Transportes Aéreos Militares Ecuatorianos) was Ecuador's flag carrier and primary international airline, founded in 1962 as a military-owned carrier and headquartered in Quito. The airline operated scheduled passenger services on both domestic and international routes, with key hubs in Quito and Guayaquil, serving destinations throughout South America, the Caribbean, and to the United States and Europe. TAME was a member of the Star Alliance from 2012 until its operations were suspended, and offered economy and business class cabins on its international flights. The airline operated a full-service model as Ecuador's main international carrier, with a frequent flyer program called TAME Miles. TAME ceased commercial operations in 2020 during the global aviation downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, with its routes and assets subsequently integrated into LATAM Airlines Ecuador, which acquired its operations.
