Air Burkina was the flag carrier of Burkina Faso, headquartered in Ouagadougou and founded in 1967. Operating as a full-service airline, it provided passenger and cargo services throughout West Africa, with its main hub at Ouagadougou Airport and key routes connecting regional capitals and neighboring countries. The airline was a member of the IATA and served as an important link for connectivity across the Sahel region, offering economy and business class seating on its modest network. Air Burkina ceased operations in 2016 due to financial difficulties and declining passenger demand, marking the end of over four decades of service to West Africa's traveling public.
