The CC-19 XCub represents CubCrafters' flagship high-performance backcountry aircraft, designed to substantially expand the mission profile of personal adventure aviation beyond traditional Super Cub capabilities. First certified by the FAA in June 2016 after six years of secret development, it is a high-wing, tandem two-seat aircraft available with either 180-horsepower or 215-horsepower Lycoming engines. With its 34-foot wingspan and exceptional short-field performance requiring only 170 feet for takeoff and landing, the XCub achieved a significant milestone when CubCrafters delivered its 1,000th production aircraft in December 2023.
