Airlines Roll Out Special FIFA World Cup 2026 Liveries
Several global airlines have begun rolling out special liveries to mark the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico. American Airlines, serving as the official North American carrier for the tournament, has unveiled a Boeing 737-800 featuring the World Cup trophy prominently displayed on a blue background across the rear fuselage.
Other international carriers are utilizing widebody aircraft for high-visibility branding. Qatar Airways, a long-standing global FIFA partner, has decorated a Boeing 777-300ER with tournament motifs on both the exterior and cabin interior. Similarly, Iberia has introduced an Airbus A350-900 featuring Spanish national team players and the slogan "Despega un equipo, vuela un país" (A team takes off, a country flies), while Aerolíneas Argentinas has themed an Airbus A330-200 as a tribute to Lionel Messi, featuring his iconic No. 10 jersey on the tail.
Beyond commercial fleets, a dedicated Airbus A320-233 operated by Titan Airways has been painted by Airbourne Colours at Teesside International Airport to support the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour. These aircraft serve as mobile billboards to engage fans and reinforce corporate sponsorships ahead of the tournament's start.
