EVA Air officially launched nonstop service between Washington Dulles International Airport and Taipei on June 26, 2026, making Dulles the carrier's 10th North American gateway. The route is the first nonstop connection between the U.S. capital and Taipei offered by any airline, opening a direct transpacific link for diplomatic, corporate, and leisure travelers.

Schedule and Aircraft

The new service operates four times weekly aboard Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners configured with Royal Laurel Class, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins. Outbound flight BR003 departs Washington Dulles on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 1:50 a.m., arriving in Taipei the following day at 5:45 a.m. The return service, BR004, departs Taipei on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., arriving at Dulles at 10:30 p.m.

Strategic Significance

EVA Air President Sun Chia-ming said the Washington–Taipei route fills a gap in nonstop service to the U.S. capital region, bringing the airline's North American network to 10 gateways and 98 weekly flights. The carrier positions its Taipei hub as a primary transit point for Asia-bound traffic, and the addition of Dulles reinforces that strategy by connecting one of the world's most politically significant cities to the EVA network for the first time. Travelers in the broader Washington metro area may also consult the Washington Reagan National Airport (KDCA) profile for regional airport options.
