Flightradar24 has integrated Aireon's space-based ADS-B system, marking the first time the popular flight-tracking service offers truly global coverage, including oceanic and polar airspace previously dependent on a network of 55,000 terrestrial receivers.

The partnership works bidirectionally: While Flightradar24 now displays aircraft positions in 15-minute increments marked in blue with an "Aireon" banner, Aireon gains access to FR24's high-frequency data feed for GNSS interference monitoring, turbulence detection, flight analytics and search-and-rescue operations.

With Iridium's 66-satellite constellation delivering data since 2019, Aireon's system fills coverage gaps that conventional radar and ground-based ADS-B cannot reach, improving safety and efficiency for airlines, airports and national air traffic services worldwide.
