Flightradar24 Launches Automated Livestream of LaGuardia Airport

Flightradar24 has expanded its live monitoring capabilities with the launch of a new automated livestream of New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA). The system employs an auto-tracking camera positioned in East Elmhurst, Queens, providing continuous coverage of aircraft movements on runways 13 and 31. The feed streams live to the Flightradar24 YouTube channel, integrating real-time visual data with the platform's existing flight-tracking ecosystem.

The camera is designed to automatically detect and follow aircraft during takeoff and landing sequences, offering enthusiasts and aviation professionals a visual complement to Flightradar24's digital flight data. The system is a private initiative and is not operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey or the FAA.

The stream's debut comes as LaGuardia continues to handle heavy traffic volumes following a multi-year, multibillion-dollar redevelopment of its terminals and infrastructure. The airport is among the most congested in the United States, known for tight approach spacing and complex airspace management — making it a compelling subject for real-time visual tracking.
