Two Cessna 310R Aircraft Suffer Landing Gear Failures Same Day
Two separate Cessna 310R aircraft experienced landing gear failures on Feb. 27, 2026, according to a report from the blancolirio YouTube channel.
The first incident involved a Cessna 310R that veered off runway 31 after suffering a right main gear collapse. The pilot escaped injury in that incident. A second incident occurred at Reid-Hillview County Airport (RHV), where another Cessna 310R sustained a partial landing gear collapse during landing and also veered off the runway.
The incidents are notable for occurring on the same day, though no connection between the two failures has been established. The causes of both gear collapses remain under investigation. The FAA and NTSB would typically investigate such incidents to determine contributing factors.
