An Algerian Air Force Beechcraft 1900D crashed during takeoff from Boufarik Air Base on March 5, 2026, killing two crew members and injuring four others.
The twin-engine military transport aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances while departing from Boufarik Air Base (DAAK) in Blida Province, approximately 25 kilometers southwest of Algiers, according to the Algerian Ministry of National Defence.
All six crew members aboard the aircraft were military personnel. The four injured survivors were evacuated to the Army's Central Hospital for treatment.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No preliminary findings have been released by Algerian aviation authorities.
The aircraft's registration number has not been disclosed by officials.
