Citation I Landing Gear Collapses at Great Falls Airport, No Injuries

A Cessna 500 Citation I suffered substantial damage when its landing gear collapsed during landing at Great Falls International Airport in Montana on January 19, 2026.
The aircraft, registered as C-GJVK, was operating as a private flight when the incident occurred at approximately 1:03 PM Mountain Standard Time. Both the pilot and passenger aboard escaped injury.
According to the Aviation Safety Network, the pilot reported receiving an unsafe indication for the left main landing gear during approach, while the nose gear appeared normal. The National Transportation Safety Board has assigned the incident report number WPR26LA093 and is investigating.
The aircraft was substantially damaged in the incident at Great Falls International Airport (GTF/KGTF). No further details about the cause of the landing gear malfunction have been released pending the NTSB investigation.
