A Delta Connection Embraer ERJ-175 diverted to Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) on Thursday after encountering severe turbulence near Palm Coast, Florida, that left one cabin crew member seriously injured, according to the Aviation Safety Network.

Flight DL3723, operated by SkyWest Airlines on behalf of Delta Air Lines, was en route from North Eleuthera International Airport to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport when the aircraft encountered turbulence at flight level 370 (approximately 37,000 feet). No passengers were reported injured, and the aircraft, registered as N271SY, sustained no damage.

One of the two cabin crew members aboard sustained serious injuries during the encounter. The flight crew diverted to Jacksonville, where medical assistance was made available.
