Bond Expands Bombardier Order to $5B for Fractional Fleet Growth
NEW ORLEANS — Fractional ownership startup Bond has significantly expanded its commitment to Bombardier Inc., upsizing its aircraft order from $1.7 billion to up to $5 billion as of April 14.
The revised contract accelerates deliveries and converts options for at least 24 Global 8000 flagship aircraft. Bond also added firm orders for four additional Global 8000s, bringing its total commitment for the ultra-long-range jet to a minimum of 24 units. While the company initially launched operations with Challenger 3500s and Global 6500s, the latest expansion reflects a strategic shift toward flagship models amid strong market demand.
The substantial investment underscores confidence in Bombardier's business aviation lineup as Bond targets expanded deliveries by 2027. Industry analysts view the deal as validation of the fractional ownership model within the booming private jet sector, positioning Bond to challenge established competitors with its modern fleet approach.
