Cessna 172 Overturns in Oklahoma Runway Excursion
A Cessna 172N Skyhawk flipped inverted after departing the runway at Tahlequah Municipal Airport on April 6, 2026. The aircraft, registered as N1203F, veered off the left side of Runway 17 before overturning, according to federal investigators.
No injuries were reported among the occupants of the single-engine aircraft. Aviation records indicate the Cessna was operated by Rawson Aviation LLC at the time of the accident.
The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation into the incident, assigning accident number CEN26LA160. NTSB investigators are conducting an on-site analysis and are expected to release preliminary findings in the coming weeks.
