On April 7, 2026, a Cessna T-41B Mescalero, registration N39ND, sustained substantial damage after a runway excursion near Fort Mohave, Arizona. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident under event number 20260408202779. The pilot and one passenger sustained minor injuries following the incident at a residential airpark.

Local deputies responded to the 5000 block of Taxi Way around 11:38 a.m. to reports of an aircraft collision with a residence. The pilot reported losing directional control shortly after beginning the takeoff roll, causing the aircraft to veer left before exiting the runway. The airplane never became airborne, traveling through rough terrain and striking the wall of an attached garage. The pilot attempted to reduce power but could not grasp the throttle due to excessive bouncing during the excursion.

No occupants inside the home were injured, though the structure sustained visible damage. The Federal Aviation Administration and NTSB are investigating the accident, which occurred during a Part 91 personal flight. The operator was not listed in preliminary reports, and the cause remains under investigation.
