HondaJet Veers Off Runway During Landing at London Biggin Hill

LONDON BIGGIN HILL — A Honda HA-420 HondaJet operated by Bookajet veered off the runway during landing at London Biggin Hill Airport on April 7. The aircraft, registered G-FHJT, departed the paved surface during its landing roll and came to rest on grass adjacent to the runway.

No fatalities or serious injuries were reported among the occupants, according to incident data. The aircraft sustained minor damage in the excursion. Bookajet operates charter services from the London-area facility.

Investigation Underway

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has not released details regarding the cause of the runway excursion. Previous similar incidents involving the HondaJet type have been attributed to factors including crosswind conditions or directional control issues during landing.
