Piper PA-44 Sustains Substantial Damage in St. George, Utah, Landing Incident

A Piper PA-44-180T Turbo Seminole, registration N8390K, sustained substantial damage following a landing incident in St. George, Utah, on June 7, 2026. The aircraft was operated by Glidepath Aviation / Wingsleasing LLC.

Preliminary reports indicate the aircraft touched down on a dirt surface, causing the landing gear to collapse. The plane then bounced onto an adjacent asphalt taxiway, where it skidded approximately 100 feet before coming to rest. The impact caused substantial damage to the lower fuselage.

All three occupants aboard were uninjured. The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation under event ID 20260608203144. The cause of the gear collapse and the circumstances that led to the aircraft landing on the unpaved surface remain under investigation.
