Tecnam P92 Eaglet Crash in Dajabón Under Investigation
DAJABÓN, Dominican Republic — Dominican aviation authorities are investigating a Tecnam P92 Eaglet crash (registration N577TU) that occurred April 29, 2026, near Dajabón, on the country's northern border with Haiti.
The Dominican Republic's Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil (IDAC) and the Comisión de Investigación de Accidentes Aeronáuticos (CIAA) dispatched technical personnel to the scene to conduct a formal assessment. Local broadcaster Color Visión/SIN identified the two injured occupants as pilot Domingo Aníbal Bisonó and co-pilot Luis Manuel Carrasco. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which maintains jurisdiction over the U.S.-registered aircraft, classified the event as minor in severity with zero fatalities.
No preliminary report on flight conditions or the mechanical status of the aircraft has been released by either IDAC or the NTSB. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
