Three Hospitalized After Cessna P210N Crash at Santa Teresa Airport

Three people were seriously injured Friday morning when a single-engine Cessna P210N, registration N54CC, crashed near a runway at the Santa Teresa International Jetport in New Mexico. The accident occurred around 11 a.m. on June 5, 2026, according to reports from KFOX14 and Organ Mountain News.

Emergency crews from the Doña Ana County Fire Rescue and the Sunland Park Fire Department arrived to find two occupants had already been pulled from the wreckage by bystanders. A third occupant remained trapped and had to be freed using specialized extrication tools. All three were transported to University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas — one in critical condition, the other two serious but stable. There were no fatalities.

Investigation Underway

The National Transportation Safety Board has opened a serious-injury investigation into the accident. New Mexico State Police assisted at the scene during the initial inquiry. Authorities have not released the names of the occupants or the registered operator. The Cessna P210N is a pressurized, high-performance single-engine aircraft widely used for business and personal transport; NTSB investigators will typically examine pilot decision-making, maintenance records and environmental conditions — including high-density altitude, a known factor in the region — as the inquiry proceeds.
