According to reports from The Independent and Simple Flying, the crew members became intoxicated during an overnight layover at an all-inclusive resort. British Airways determined the staff were unfit for duty and suspended four flight attendants, launching an internal investigation. The aircraft was subsequently ferried back to London empty, as no replacement crew was available in time to operate the commercial service.
