Cessna 177B Crashes in Arizona, Two Occupants Hospitalized

A Cessna 177B crashed near Rocky Junction, Arizona, on Feb. 21, 2026, at approximately 10 p.m. local time, hospitalizing both occupants.

The FAA confirmed the incident and announced it would conduct an investigation. The agency's newsroom brief listed the aircraft type and location but did not disclose the registration number, pilot identities or cause of the crash. Local authorities confirmed the crash and hospitalization of both people aboard.

The incident adds to a series of general aviation accidents in Arizona this month, including a Bell 407 helicopter crash near Flagstaff and a Socata TB21 incident near Prescott. The NTSB has not yet been notified of the investigation. Additional details will be released as the inquiry progresses.
