Cessna 177B Crashes Near Rocky Junction, Arizona, Injuring Two

A single-engine Cessna 177B crashed near Rocky Junction, Arizona, on Feb. 21, 2026. Two people were on board and were hospitalized, though the severity of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.

The FAA opened an investigation into the accident. In a statement released the same day, the agency said it would examine pilot qualifications, maintenance records and weather conditions. The incident is being treated as serious until more information is available.

Investigators note that, as with other general aviation cases, the final report could take up to two years to complete. No National Transportation Safety Board involvement has been announced at this time.
