Introduction

Multiple general aviation accidents were reported across the United States in late February 2026. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading investigations into several incidents.

Documented Accidents

On February 6, 2026, a Sonex Onex (N362DZ) crashed near Caldwell, Idaho, resulting in a fatal injury. Also on February 6, a Pelegrin Tarragon crashed near Gila Bend, Arizona, with two people on board, and a Cirrus SR22 crashed near Lexington, South Carolina, with two people on board. On February 11, 2026, a Beechcraft A36 crashed in Brownsboro, Texas, after the pilot declared an emergency, with two people on board. On February 15, 2026, a Cessna 210 crashed near Camarillo Airport, California, after the pilot reported an engine issue, with two people on board. On February 21, 2026, a Cessna 177B crashed near Rocky Junction, Arizona, with two people on board. On February 26, 2026, a Jodell D-11 crashed in Beaver Lake, Rogers, Arkansas, with only the pilot on board.

Investigation Status

The NTSB is investigating several incidents, including the Jodell D-11 crash in Arkansas and the Beechcraft A36 in Texas. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is also investigating several accidents, including the Cessna 210 and Cessna 177B crashes.
