Analysis
On June 27, 1993, about 0650 central daylight time, an Aeronca 7AC airplane, N83429, sustained substantial damage when it collided with trees near Waukesha, Wisconsin. The solo private pilot received minor injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the local pleasure flight. The flight operated without flight plan under 14 CFR Part 91.
The pilot was on a local sightseeing flight. According to his statement, while making a left turn to better view a camping site, the airplane stalled. In an attempt to recover, the pilot added power. The airplane then entered into a spin and impacted the trees below.
The pilot reported no preimpact mechanical anomalies with the airplane.
