Analysis
The airplane veered off of the runway surface during the landing roll. After returning from a local area flight, the pilot aligned the airplane on a 2-mile final for the active runway. The final approach and landing flare were uneventful and the airplane touched down on the runway. While on the landing roll the airplane crossed over a perpendicular runway and began to veer to the right. The pilot was unable to counteract the veer and the airplane impacted a taxiway marker.
The airplane incurred damage to the firewall. The pilot reported the winds were variable at 15 knots, gusting to 20 knots.
