Analysis
On June 1, 2009, at 1550 coordinated universal time (1750 central European Summer Time), a Cessna 172H, Swedish registered SE-GUP, owned by the Uddevalla Flygklubb (Flying Club) and piloted by the accident pilot, was destroyed when it impacted terrain under unknown circumstances at Uddevalla Rorkarr Airport (ESGU), Uddevalla, Sweden. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot was fatally injured. The accident flight originated from ESGU.
The Swedish investigators reported that the pilot was performing aerial survey in search of a wounded deer. Witnesses reported that the airplane stalled at a low altitude and impacted a creek. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Swedish government.
