Summary
On August 10, 2009, a Boeing 737 (JA56AN) was involved in an incident near Tokyo, JA. All 153 people aboard were uninjured. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.

Post flight check showed that lower tailpiece of the fuselage of the aircraft was damaged about five meters long and one meter wide. Two scratch marks (about 25 meters long and 7.5 meters long) were made on runway B of the Tokyo International Airport. No injuries were reported.
The investigation is being conducted by the Japan Transport Safety Board.
