Analysis

On May 8, 2010, a Boeing 737-800, Swedish registration SE-RHX, operated by Viking Airlines, experienced a decompression while enroute from Sharm-el-Sheik, Egypt, to Manchester, UK. The flight diverted to Vienna, Austria. There were no injuries.

The Austrian Air Investigation Branch delegated the investigation to the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB). The NTSB designated a U.S. Accredited Representative to the AAIB's investigation under the provisions of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 13 as the state of manufacture of the airplane.
