Analysis
On December 4, 2013, about 1430 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Britten Norman Aircraft, model BN-2A, Brazilian registration PT-WMY, was substantially damaged when it impacted the ground shortly after takeoff from Novo Progresso Airport (SJNP), Novo Progresso, in the State of Pará, Brazil. The Brazilian pilot and four passengers were fatally injured. According to witness reports, shortly after takeoff the airplane made a forced landing. The flight which was conducted under Brazilian flight regulations, and was destined for Aldeia Pykany Airport (SJBN), Altamira, in the State of Pará, Brazil.
