Analysis
On April 10, 2014, at 0323 universal coordinated time, a Bell 407GX, B-7475, was substantially damaged when it impacted water under unknown circumstances near Beijing, P.R. China. The helicopter was operated by Eastern General Aviation Limited Corporation under the pertinent civil regulations of the government of China. One pilot was fatally injured while the second pilot received minor injuries.
The accident is being investigated by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The NTSB has designated a U.S. Accredited Representative under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, as the state of manufacture for the aircraft and engines.
