On September 9, 2014, about 1000 local time, a Cessna 206G, Ecuadorian registration HC-CAB, was destroyed when it impacted terrain while returning to land at the airstrip in Daimontaro, Pastaza, Ecuador. The Ecuadorian commercial pilot was fatally injured. The airplane, which was in its initial climb after takeoff when it turned back, was destined for an airstrip in Queweriono, Pastaza, Ecuador, and was operating under Ecuadorian flight regulations.
