On November 17, 2014, about 1758 universal coordinated time, a Piper PA-25-235, Brazilian registration PR-WIZ, was destroyed when it impacted the ground in a sugar cane field in Cidade Gaúcha, Paraná, Brazil. The pilot was fatally injured. The flight was conducted under Brazilian flight regulations.
