On August 14, 2015, about 0830 local time (1130 coordinated universal time), a Robinson R44 Raven II, designated A02 and operated by the Paraguayan National Police, was destroyed when it impacted terrain in Limpio, Paraguay, about 6 nautical miles northeast of Asuncion, Paraguay. Instrument meteorological conditions prevailed. The Paraguayan pilot was fatally injured, and the two passengers were seriously injured. The flight, which originated at Helipuerto Base Alto Parana, Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, destined for Helipuerto Base Aeronaval, Asuncion, Paraguay, was operating under Paraguayan flight regulations.The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Paraguay.
