On March 27, 2017, at 1514 coordinated universal time, a Rutan Long-Ez, Irish registration EI-CPI, collided with terrain in Cloncoskoran, Waterford, Ireland, following a loss of engine power. The pilot was fatally injured and the airplane was destroyed.
